Both options work. We armor client-supplied vehicles routinely — they account for roughly 30 to 40 percent of our annual builds. The client provides the vehicle (either drives it to Vaughan or has it shipped); we provide the armoring and any associated mechanical upgrades.

The alternative is for us to source the base vehicle on your behalf. Most of our international clients choose this option because we have established relationships with major manufacturer dealer networks and can source vehicles at competitive prices, then ship the finished armored vehicle to your destination as a single integrated logistics chain. We don’t mark up base vehicles — what you pay for the base car is what we pay, with delivery and customs added at cost.

For client-supplied vehicles, we inspect the vehicle at intake and confirm it’s suitable for armoring. The vehicle must be in good mechanical condition, less than five years old (or seven for premium platforms with documented service history), free of accident damage to the body cell, and have clean title in your name. The intake inspection is included in your quote at no charge.

The free consultation is the first step in every Exec Armor relationship. It runs 30 to 45 minutes by phone or video call (Zoom, Microsoft Teams or WhatsApp video — your choice) and is hosted by one of our two senior specialists. Both specialists have lifetime NDAs in place; nothing you say during the consultation goes outside our team.

The agenda covers four topics. First, your operational profile — where you operate, who travels in the vehicle, what threats you face. Second, your platform preferences — do you have a specific make/model in mind, or do you want us to recommend based on your profile. Third, your protection-level requirements — we walk through BR4 to BR7 trade-offs and recommend a level appropriate to your threat profile. Fourth, your timeline and budget — so we can give you a realistic delivery date and ballpark cost range.

Within seventy-two hours after the consultation, you receive a formal written proposal: itemised quote, build specifications, lead time, payment schedule and a sample build sheet showing exactly what your finished vehicle will include. Quotes are valid for 60 days. There is no fee for the consultation and no obligation to proceed — many of our clients consult two or three times over several years before commissioning a build.

We ship to over forty countries annually. Standard delivery destinations include the United States, Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Brazil, Colombia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, India, the Philippines and most of Europe.

Our logistics team handles the entire chain: flatbed transport from our Vaughan facility, customs clearance at origin and destination, international ocean or air freight, port handling, in-country delivery and final driver familiarisation. For armored-vehicle imports, every country has its own paperwork; we prepare it. Some — like the UAE, Mexico and Brazil — require pre-import permits that take four to six weeks to issue. Others — like most of Europe — require only standard customs declarations.

Total transit time, including paperwork, typically runs 3 to 5 weeks ocean-freight or 1 week air-freight (cost premium of CAD $25,000 to $80,000 for air freight depending on destination). Insurance is included to the destination port; in-country insurance is the client’s responsibility. We provide a detailed shipping cost estimate during the proposal stage so there are no surprises at delivery.
