Exec Armor SUVs combine commanding road presence, real off-road capability and discreet ballistic protection. Every build is engineered to keep factory ride quality, factory handling and factory cabin refinement — only safer. For executive ride quality on tarmac, browse our armored sedans. For heavy-duty operations, see our armored trucks.
Our SUV builds are the most-requested platform in our lineup. They offer the cargo room and seating capacity that families and security details need, while maintaining a vehicle profile that does not telegraph "armored" from across the parking lot. Most clients choose CEN BR6 — comprehensive rifle protection without an unmanageable weight penalty. Every SUV is built using our vehicle armoring process and supported by our worldwide maintenance network.

An SUV gives you four advantages over a sedan: cargo room, seating capacity, off-road capability and road presence. For families, a sedan often forces a trade-off between protection and the practical seating you actually need; an SUV like the Escalade or LX 600 seats six to eight people in armored comfort with luggage room for a real trip. For security details, the cargo bay accommodates extraction gear, medical kits and communication equipment that won’t fit in a sedan trunk.
Off-road capability matters in regions where roads degrade quickly during the rainy season or where evacuation routes leave paved surfaces. A properly engineered armored SUV like the G-Class or Land Cruiser maintains real off-road geometry even with full ballistic protection installed. Finally, presence matters in some operational contexts — an Escalade or G-Class signals to bystanders that the principal is not an easy target, which can de-escalate situations before they begin.
The trade-offs are higher fuel consumption, slightly higher visibility in low-key environments, and modestly higher purchase price. For executives prioritising sheer discretion and limousine ride quality, an armored S-Class or 7 Series sedan may be the better choice. Our specialists will walk you through the trade-off in your free consultation.
By volume, our most-requested platforms are the Cadillac Escalade, Lexus LX 600 and Mercedes G-Class — in that order. The Escalade leads because it balances presence, cabin space, comfortable on-road ride and a relatively reasonable platform cost. Most clients who buy a Cadillac Escalade armor it to BR6 with a few discreet options like run-flat tires (standard), intercom and a video DVR — total package typically lands between CAD $260,000 and CAD $320,000 including the base vehicle.
The Lexus LX 600 has surged in popularity since its 2022 redesign. It offers Toyota Land Cruiser reliability, Lexus refinement and global parts availability that competitors struggle to match. The total cost of ownership over ten years is materially lower than an Escalade or G-Class because parts and service costs are roughly 30 to 50 percent lower.
The Mercedes G-Class remains the prestige choice. It is the only platform in our lineup that genuinely looks armored from the outside (which is a feature, not a bug, for some clients). Its body-on-frame architecture handles weight gracefully, its solid-axle suspension is built to handle armor mass, and its short wheelbase makes it the most agile full-size armored SUV in our lineup. Pricing runs about 20 to 30 percent higher than an Escalade build.
Yes — when engineered correctly. The added weight of armor — typically 500 to 900 kilograms depending on protection level — affects three things: payload capacity, towing capacity and off-road geometry. We compensate for all three.
Payload: We re-rate the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) using upgraded springs, shock absorbers and tire load ratings appropriate to the armored mass. The finished vehicle retains its original passenger and cargo carrying capability minus the armor weight itself. For a G-Class, that typically means six passengers with full luggage. For a Suburban or Escalade, seven to eight passengers with luggage.
Towing: We can preserve original towing capacity in most builds, but it depends on the platform. Body-on-frame platforms (G-Class, Land Cruiser, Suburban, Yukon) preserve towing well — typically 90 to 100 percent of factory rating. Unibody platforms (X5, GLE, Range Rover Sport) lose more towing capacity — typically 70 to 85 percent of factory.
Off-road: All-terrain performance is preserved on the body-on-frame platforms with appropriate suspension calibration. Ground clearance is maintained because we don’t add weight below the chassis rails (armor is integrated into the body cell, not the underbody). Approach, departure and break-over angles remain within 5 percent of factory on the major off-road-rated SUVs in our lineup.
