Maximum space, maximum capability — the diplomatic and executive-protection standard.
The armored Chevrolet Suburban is the workhorse of the protective-security world. Its long wheelbase delivers the most interior volume of any SUV we build — room for a full protective detail, communications equipment and luggage without compromise — which is why it is the standard vehicle for diplomatic missions, government fleets and executive-protection teams across North America. Exec Armor builds the armored Suburban at every protection level in-house at our Vaughan, Ontario facility.
The Suburban’s body-on-frame architecture and heavy-duty underpinnings make it one of the most forgiving platforms to armor — the ladder frame carries ballistic weight without the flex problems of a unibody SUV, and the factory braking and cooling systems are already sized for heavy-duty use. We re-calibrate the Magnetic Ride Control suspension for the measured armored mass, upgrade to armored-grade brake rotors and pads, and fit run-flat tires rated for the full weight. The generous cabin means BR6 armor can be installed with full three-row seating retained — a genuine advantage over shorter SUVs when a team needs to travel together. For fleet operators, parts availability and serviceability across the continent are unmatched.
