History of Air Bags and Their Importance. Air bags in cars have been around for a long time. The patent for the first airbag was issued to John Hetrick in 1953. Originally the air bag was called a “safety cushion”. John Hetrick thought up the air bag as a solution to the problem of braking and collisions following a car accident of his own the year before.  Another inventor at the forefront of Air bag technology was Walter Linderer who patented his own design of an air bag in 1953 that he called an “inflatable cushion”.

‘Bulletproof’ Glass Provides Clearly Superior Protection An armoured car is only at its best when the entire vehicle is protected from high and low velocity impacts. This protection must include the glass sections of the car, If the doors and floor is heavily armoured without any comparable level of protection for the windows then there may as well be no protection on the vehicle at all. Not only is there the fact that the windows will not be as secure as the rest of the car, they are also the first point of entry for most attacks as they are typically viewed as the weakest point. Glass that is 100 percent bullet proof does not exist.  The glass that is usually referred to as bulletproof should be more accurately described as bullet resistant.  There are different tiers of bulletproof glass, depending on the expected threat level some may be more suitable than others.
